Spencer Recovery Center saved my life. Seven years ago, I chose Spencer Recovery Center to help me overcome an addiction to Crystal Meth and other drugs. There were two major reasons for my choice to come to Spencer Recovery Center. The first and most important reason was the caring intake staff who seemed devoted to getting me help no matter where I decided to go for treatment. The second reason that helped me in choosing Spencer Recovery Center was the fact that Spencer worked with my insurance company so there was no cost to enter the facility.

Accreditation
Spencer Recovery Center has been accredited by the Joint Commission (formerly JCAHO) since 1989. The Joint Commission is a hospital-level quality and safety assurance standards accrediting body.
The Joint Commission conducts thorough routine evaluations of the facility to ensure that the programs, policies and procedures are set at the highest standards and that the staff of the facility is properly following the policies and procedures.

Financing and Scholarships
Spencer Recovery Center understands that the economy has made it difficult for clients to pay for substance abuse treatment. Spencer Recovery Center offers a financing program which, upon instant approval, could fund the treatment tuition cost at the facility. For people who are not able to receive a loan due to credit trouble, Spencer Recovery can make payment arrangements and treatment scholarships to help you in beginning your recovery (for qualified clientele).

Insurance Procedures
Spencer Recovery Center is a preferred provider for Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, Magellan, Value Options, United Behavioral Health (UBH), Humana, Life Synch, Beech Street, Health One Alliant, and Cigna.
Spencer Recovery Center also accepts ALL other health insurance carriers and can utilize out-of-network benefits.

One-Year Boarding Program with Addictions Counselor Certification
Many clients entertain the idea of helping people in the future as a career. Spencer Recovery Center has a satellite program which allows clients to gain career skills and certification while residing in a structured sober environment and gaining the experience needed to qualify to become a certified addictions counselor.

As a Joint Commission Accredited facility, our rules are designed to ensure the top level of safety and quality of care for our clientele. Our rules are not meant to be harsh but to ensure that each client has an equal chance of succeeding and flourishing in this therapeutic environment.

Clients are most successful with our three month treatment program and extended care internship. However, it is understood that personal lives and obligations do not always allow for three months. Spencer Recovery Center will design a program for you which is based on the amount of time that you have available to receive treatment.
Month 1
Two Twelve Step Meetings per day

Snacks daily
Two process groups per day
One educational group per day
Exercise program 5 days per week
Guided daily beach walks 5 days per week
Guided store access if needed 5 days per week

Additional Costs:
Detoxification – If you require a medically assisted detoxification the fee would be an additional $3,700. Opiate detoxification is normally treated with Suboxone.
Psych Track – Upon entering the facility, you will receive an evaluation to determine whether underlying psychological issues are affecting the alcohol/drug problem. If it is determined that this is the case, then you will be offered the Psych Track. The Psych Track includes evaluations and a package of additional individual therapy session with a licensed therapist or a Psychiatrist. The cost for this track is $2,700.
Grace Track for Christians – The grace track is an OPTIONAL service for clientele who wish to incorporate their faith with their treatment program. This program includes multiple weekly Bible studies and private counseling with a certified Christian Alcohol and Drug Counselor. The cost for this track is $1,700.
Trauma Therapy - Spencer Recovery Center utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. This therapy combines substance abuse counseling with treatment for underlying issues which might stem from past trauma which could contribute to self-medicating behaviors. Scott Beardsley (one of Spencer Recovery Center’s Therapists and an EMDR specialist) employs the latest EMDR techniques in an effective and life-changing manner. The cost for this track is $2,700.
One-Year Boarding Program with Addictions Counselor Certification - Many clients entertain the idea of helping people in the future as a career. Spencer Recovery Center has a satellite program which allows clients to gain career skills and certification while residing in a structured sober environment and gaining the experience needed to qualify to become a certified addictions counselor. The One-Year Boarding Program with Addictions Counselor Certification includes room, board, food, internship hours needed, educational credits needed and assistance with completing an application portfolio to prepare for the Addictions Counselor Certificate. This program is $1,500 extra per month. Clients are eligible to enter this program after completing one month of Extended Care.
